Contracts for Farmers: An Overview of Contract Law
--presented by Tom Weygandt (Finishes up May 3, 2010, 5:30 PM CDT)

Roy sold Brad 600 tons of corn silage for $24,000 and has agreed to accept payment over 6 months. For his third payment, Brad endorsed the back of a check he had received for sale of some cows and gave it to Roy so "he wouldn't need to deal with it in the computer". Now one week later, Roy's bank has called to tell him that the check has bounced and the four checks Roy has written have been returned due to non-sufficient funds. What should Roy do?

Contracts are used daily by farmers and individuals, but do they understand what they're entering into? Attorney Tom Weygandt will take you through contracts from formulation to performance or breach.
